What to Bring to Your First Appointment:

• A valid photo ID (driver’s license or other identification)
• Your dental insurance card, if applicable
• A current list of medications
• Any recent dental X-rays, if available
• Completed patient forms (you may fill these out in advance or at the office)

When to Arrive:

Plan to arrive approximately 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This gives you enough time to complete any remaining paperwork and helps keep your appointment on schedule. If you’re unable to make your visit, just give us a call and we’ll be happy to help you reschedule.

How Long Will It Take?

Expect your first visit to last between 60 and 90 minutes. This allows time for a thorough, comprehensive dental exam and a chance to discuss your oral health goals or concerns. If anything changes and you need to adjust your schedule, please reach out so we can accommodate you.

Will I Receive a Cleaning During My First Visit?

Whether or not a cleaning is completed at your first appointment depends on your dental needs. A full exam is always performed first so your dentist can determine what type of cleaning is appropriate. Since oral health varies from patient to patient, cleanings are customized based on individual needs. In some cases, the cleaning may be started the same day; in others, it may be scheduled for a follow-up appointment with a hygienist.
